Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë2024-06-19 Sun

I’m half way through and loving it. Jane is such a compelling character. I’m reading this with the book club at my local library. We’ll be following up with Wide Sargasso Sea by Jean Rhys afterwards.

Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi2024-06-19 Sun

This will be the first read for the black authors book club I’ll be starting. It received many recommendations. It’s part of a series and it’s a YA novel. I hope to learn some interesting stuff about Nigerian culture from it.

Selfish Reasons to Have More Kids by Bryan Caplan2024-06-19 Sun

I’ve heard good stuff about this book. I’ve already read some books about the nature versus nurture debate so I’m more interested in the actual argument for having more kids.

The Story of Art by E. H. Gombrich2024-06-19 Sun

I’ve also been going to the Met and the MOMA when I have the time. I’ve just finished reading book and want to go back through and take more detailed notes. I think what I’ve learned has already helped me better appreciate art, especially architecture. It’s definitely made me more interested in seeing art.
